He could have never belonged to me, because he barely belonged to himself. She still had so much of him. He considered her perfect even when claiming that he no longer loved her. I guess I’m a little terrified of losing so much of myself as he had done. Maybe that’s why I’m so reluctant to give myself entirely to anyone.
