“We were together. I forget the rest.”
—Walt Whitman (via makeartnotwar)
Hi, would you like to spend new years together?
(if you live in southern California)
“My mum said to me, “Are you going outside, Scott, with your lily-white skin? Just try not to get mauled by girls since there’s that vampire craze.’”
—Scott Davies
“I didn’t want to kiss you goodbye — that was the trouble — I wanted to kiss you goodnight. And there’s a lot of difference.”
—Ernest Hemingway (via kianavandusen)
“The world ages faster when you fly opposite to its rotation.”
—Scott Davies
At 3am in England
- Me: You're up before the sun. Doesn't it feel unnatural?
- Scott: You say that as though I'm from a country that actually sees the sun.
- Me: Do you read before you go to bed?
- Scott: Yeah! I'm reading this book right now called The Russian by Andy McNab.
- -search on Google-
- Me: Oh, isn't that based on Battlefield 3?
- Scott: ......you weren't supposed to Google it!
“My friends used to mock me all they time. They were like, ‘So what university are you going to choose, Scott? The one with the fastest internet connection?’”
—Scott Davies
- Best friend: what is the word for killing a baby
- like antipregnancy

“We like to be out in nature so much because it has no opinion about us.”
—Friedrich Nietzsche (via pandacake)
“People always think they know other people, but they don’t. Not really. I mean, maybe they know things about them, like they won’t eat doughnuts or they like action movies or whatever. But they don’t know what their friends do in their rooms alone at night or what happened to them when they were kids or if they feel fucked up and sad for no reason at all.”
—Going Bovine by Libba Bray. (via itzl)
Emotions are basically just combinations of chemicals released by neurons. Serotonin and dopamine are really well-known neurotransmitters associated with happiness. As far as I know, sadness/depression is mainly an imbalance of chemicals. At times I think I love that imbalance as much as some people enjoy high levels of serotonin.
“People will show you who they are, but we ignore it because we want them to be who we want them to be.”
—Don Draper (via ohhhkat)
“When you’re a teenager and in your early twenties it seems desperately eternal and excruciatingly painful. Whereas as you grow older you realise that most things are excruciatingly painful and that is the human condition. Most of us continue to survive because we’re convinced that somewhere along the line, with grit and determination and perseverance, we will end up in some magical union with somebody. It’s a fallacy, of course, but it’s a form of religion. You have to believe. There is a light that never goes out and it’s called hope.”
—Morrissey (via atomos)
- Scott: I have a blog too! It's mostly what I do, like flying and robots and stuff. What do you blog about?
- Me: Myself.
